Beautiful watch. Congrats!
After a sympathetic refurb it has become a favourite daily piece. STS limited in essex did a great job!

Holy thread resurrection! This came in just earlier this week. A watch friend suggested a heuer carrera style leather stap. Didn't have one so slapped it onto a 70s vintage Tropic Sport to take it for a test drive.

This watch hit home hard. Very cool piece and a great size. I think I need to spend some cash to get it serviced by Omega since it is well preserved and good fit into my collection.

Looks awesome, its a watch that is hard to get a nice example of due to the high rate of moisture damaged dials but they are a great looking design

Is it possible to get splash-proof if I have it serviced by authorized omega service? From what I have read, incorrect gasket is a problem and causes the leakage.

Im not really sure, I believe as a layman that the main issue is that the key-bold compressor design itself, much like the original Naiad crown is just a bit of a poor design, though an interesting one. Splashproof is a pretty low bar to clear so hopefully they can reach that though at least.

Great black dial variant! 👌🏼 @dsio is absolutely right.
If it has that same shimmer like off the blue dial, then I would definitely look for its SS bracelet(s) for it rather than a leather strap… Congrats 👏🏼

They do look amazing on BoR that’s for sure, there are a few other compressor case designs like the Deauville:

Which I’m also a huge fan of, but once again water / moisture is their kryptonite so just have to keep them dry.
