Hello everybody,

I need you help, glass of my watch is broken, and I want replace it.

2 solutions:
- Replace by a genuise part (PN2100) but impossible to find.
If you know where, I would like to know! 🤔
And a layout of the part! 🤗
- Replace by a replacement part but I didn’t find something look like with good dimensions. Glass for Zenith Respirator, Tag Monaco…

Someone have a idea please?
I’m running out of idea

The third solution is to take it to an Omega certified watchmaker, assuming that the crystal is still available directly from Omega.

I an helping my watchmaker, because he have no solution, and I proposed me to put like a resine in the old glass…
But l’m not happy with this solution…

There are some workshops that make Plexiglas by order and they might be able to make one .
I knew one guy but he closed his shop a couple of years ago .

I don’t have all details but…
When my watchmaker wanted to re-assemble all, I didn’t see a deformation of the watch case… glass vas split.
He was confused, me too!

Seems like your watchmaker broke the crystal by mistake. If I recall correctly, these crystals simply fall into place with a gasket and are held in place by the compressor case.

Well, it’s a hard to find crystal. You got lucky once. Your next option is to do what they did in the old days - look up every watch parts/material house and call them to ask if they have it.

If possible, I’d want to know why it broke. If your watchmaker is confused as to why it broke, perhaps he doesn’t know how to properly install it and if you manage to find another, you’ll get the same result

You’re right!
He is looking by himself with his network but I help him to found my watch as soon as possible.
When I will see again, i will give you info.

Just purchased a 166.042 with a damaged crystal that also needs an overhaul. Not only am I on the hunt for the crystal, I need a 9001 tool. This is going to be fun!
