Very cool find & enjoy! 😎
T.

Thanks T 😉

I'm loving the feel of it on the wrist as well!

I just found the older OVD listing for it:

Wow, very good machine as well as the cool looks. Good combo and something I have given more thought to (caliber) when deciding to purchase the longer I have collected.
Thanks & best,
T.

Thanks cltdoc.... yes, i've been trying to find anywhere here in Kuwait where I live to get a decent strap, and even, so as to do this watch some justice, tailor one to suit it.

The only place I could find for strap sales and tailoring was a "Jean Rousseau Boutique". Very elegant, with some fine leather and other material samples, and the option to tailor any style, with any padding, and any lining.

For those interested, here's their link online: http://www.jean-rousseau.com/en/luxury-watch-straps.php
Anyone aware of this brand or have advice on their quality?

They also have some awesome watch winders and boxes there as well.... mainly Wolf Designs brand: https://www.wolfdesigns.com/

And their "piece de resistance" was an original BUGATTI EB 16.4 "Veyron" engine block converted into a watch winder.... you have to see this!!!

This just in!
After having given up on finding a suitable leather strap for this beauty (nothing seemed right on it IMO!) and scouring the different sources for the OTHER original SS bracelet for this watch, I am extremely 🤩 to share this very exciting "arrival moment" (work desk photo, so this will have to be a quick preview):

More photos to follow....
I have a recollection of Melhardy looking for 586 end links for a Seamaster Compressor
Many thanks, prostie1200 😀 Mission complete!

Wonder if this awesome example of Omega "Square" Seamaster simplicity will ever see BaselWorld 20XX re-issue?
Here it is with it's second identity on non-beads of rice bracelet 😁

This watch is awesome! I love its funkyness...I want one! 🤩
Which bracelet do you think suits it more? It is a late 60's early 70's watch, so the 50's/60's BOR or the more 70's curved link bracelet?

For sheer looks I would say the 70's curved link bracelet. But I personally favour the lightness and delicacy of the 50's Bor for my skinny wrists..😉

Fantastic watch.

i used to own a Zenith Respirator X and boy you can see why that design didn't catch on. I'm sure at 100m it was as watertight as a Seawolf class submarine, but getting to 100m is the question indeed.

Thanks Speedbird,
I'm just glad that the world spins and the days and years go by so that us vintage watch lovers can give such unappreciated yet beautiful watches their due glory! 😀

Little did I know how much of an SM Compressor addict I seemed to Mrs.Melhadary... She decided to surprise me with this lovely example of the more classic, linen dial, version of this awesome watch for our wedding anniversary... In her words, "you don't want to leave that extra bracelet lying around useless, do you!"

and here it is beside its funky brother...

Thanks Herianto. 😀
It turns out she's been watching my eBay habits and online search queries!
Should I be worried?
