On my Internet travel I've stumbled across this very cool looking Seamaster. Don't see much on the forum re this watch.

Any owners on OF have one?? If so what are your thoughts?.... Looks to be quite thick..

However a unique and novel watch.

Also wondered what thoughts were on pricing of these second hand? Don't seem to be massively desirable..

Thanks in advance guys 馃榾

The model name is almost as bad as the Longines Diarrhea.

Hi @amiriqbal

I had one - it is thicker than the other Seamaster 300 models, and quite a bit heavier too on a bracelet.

A cool watch, with some weird functionality, that is not for everyone.

Anything over 拢2500 is high I think, given that they are not all that common, but also not particularly desirable.

Thanks mate.

Your one was priced well on the FS thread. Seen a few about. Can't decide between the black or white dial. Quite keen on picking one up and agree it's very niche but I think cool and unique.

Let me know if you see any nice examples up for sale!

Apnea means "no breath" in Greek

I suspect that diarrhea also means something relatively benign in Greek. Or at least it probably did originally.

Edit: "Flowing through" according to the internets.

Why is the watch named apnea? Acronym for something? Or watch so gorgeous, it leaves one breathless?

The sleep sickness (which i have) also has to do with losing breath.

SCUBA diving ... breathing ... some sort of connection.

The watch is used for free diving. The 7 dots change color for every minute that passes so they can gauge their time and breath. Hence the name

Free diving, that's interesting! I didn't realize that.

What are the pushers for?

If this were a cure for apnea, might have made an argument to the missus to buy me one for medical reasons. I鈥檓 getting tired of using the cpap machine. 馃榾

You can suspect that the majority of words from the English language are taken from the Greek language.

At least 99% when it comes to medical terms.

But when it comes to marketing a product, we have seen missteps before like the Chevy Nova... there鈥檚 a long and hilarious history of companies not thinking a name through.
