While we wait, here's another catalogue picture. Seeing as how it's crossed out, someone didn't like it as much as we do 馃槜

Bleh...missed the delivery guy. Another chance today. Meanwhile, here's a pic of my 176.007 that I took last night. It's more on topic for this thread than a Jedi anyway 馃槈

Looks fantastic! 馃榾

To get back off topic (even further so, actually), I also missed the delivery guy today - an incoming Constellation LCD...

Tomorrow! 馃榾

I have a yachting chrono that came with one that looked like the one on the left:

Pic taken from this epic thread: https://omegaforums.net/threads/about-omega-buckles.37347/

Not sure if it was original to the watch or not, but I have seen other early 70s watches sold with them so it seems period correct.

I had this one lying around and just put it on (not sure if it's genuine or not - I'll have a read of the "epic" thread):

Certainly makes the whole ensemble feel more "correct"...

EDIT:
Looking through that wonderful thread, it appears to be a "modern" MG...

Correct or not, I'd settle for that in a heartbeat. You wouldn't happen to have another one lying around, would you? In any case, here's my jedi on corfam! By the way, does your strap also only have the one keeper? Only had time for one pic - I'm sure less sombre ones will follow soon 馃槈

Man oh man, to me this watch is at least as cool as an 861 Speedy Pro.

What an amazing shot - outstanding! 馃榾
Don't have any other buckles in the correct size lying around, I'm afraid.
Yeah, just one keeper. Same for you? I'm now wondering if I dropped one when changing buckles!

Thanks! Just bought that reflective surface, mostly for shooting watches.

Yes, I also have only one keeper. It seems to be enough though: the strap is not very long. It super comfortable though: I really like it.

I have a few pieces of plastic to act as backgrounds/surfaces for watch pics, too. But the shots don't come out like that!

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised that the strap wasn't as long as some. With others, I've been on the second last hole, but I'm pretty much in the middle with this one - makes for a nice balanced feel...

I've found that what works best is to place a see-through, 50x50 cm acrylic plate on top of an opaque black substrate (easiest option a matte piece of black acrylic of the same size). That way, you have a mirror-like shine while retaining the dark feel of the reflection (for what I wanted to achieve, a simple mirror reflects too much, and glossy black plastic too little).

Thanks! I don't know if that's how the pros do it, but I just like to tinker with this stuff until I get the results I want. "Learning by failing", I call it 馃槈

Found one on the bay, but I think the pin might be too wide for the holes on the strap. And it's not like it's cheap, so I'm hestitant about pulling the trigger...

[EDIT] it ended up selling for over $100. That's what a vintage Omega buckle goes for these days? Sheesh...

Speaking of rarely-seen parts on the 176.007, I've requested/ordered a white pulsometric bezel for mine. Fingers crossed they can supply it...

Well, it's back! And I got the pulsometric bezel! Absolutely delighted with it! Unfortunately, I can't capture it well in non-daylight, but here's a taster (I'll post more pictures in the coming days):

First, here's what it looked like BEFORE:

Congratulations - looks great! 馃榾

I got this one below at the end of last year. I realize most of the hands are "wrong" (and possibly the bezel too). At the time I bought it I was determined to put everything right, but fast-forward 4 months and 3 more Omegas and it's now much less of a priority! 馃榾 I've actually come to quite like the unique arrangement (will still get everything corrected at some point, though).

Anyway, a few pics:

I may have a set of hands for you. Let me know if you're interested. They were put on my old mark II racing and had it corrected leaving me with vintage well preserved hour and minute hand for this model.

See the previous post to yours - I've just had everything replaced! 馃榾

Thanks for the offer, though! Appreciate it.

(Was interesting to read my comments on the old arrangement in the quoted post above - I did get "everything corrected" in the end...).

And here are a few slightly better shots (struggling to capture it well, tbh - I wish I had dialstatic's photography skills!)
