Requesting help with vintage Connie

Hi all, I’m the proud owner of a ref 168.029. Being a “City boy” all of my peers are likened to Rolex, AP etc etc and they just did not do it for me. When finding the Constellation range from the 60s I fell in love immediately and negotiated this piece. Am so pleased with it.

Admittedly I’m not an expert, and have now spent several hours searching and trying to gain knowledge on the Connies to get a better understanding.

My Mrs has always said how nice mine is so I’m now thinking of buying her one, and this has caught my eye:

I’m aware the seller has softened the photos and that the strap isn’t original, but I’m after an opinion on the watch from some who are more clued up than I am.

I appreciate any thoughts.

Watch looks good to me. There are matching ladies C case constellations if she would like a smaller version.

By modern standards. Some of the dress watches are fairly small around 30mm or less. There was also a trend to make them as thin as possible.

Ladies (Women's) are more in the 20 to 25mm size.

There is a really good writeup in the stories section on some of the ladies watches. Be sure to check that out.

Price seems high for gold cap C Case now- I just bought nice same ref 168.029 with orig gold bracelet for $550. Prices may be higher in UK.
Edit. Not solid gold bracelet….

Wowza that’s a well good price! I paid over £1050 for my first one with original gold brick bracelet. Jealous
