Refinished dial.

You just wouldn't believe it, would you. How could anyone be that stupid (or ignorant - or both). Is it worth pointing it out to the seller, do you think?

I'm still learning from u gents here.. shouldn't the chrono hand be white for this version?

A couple guys have 2998's - check out Steve / Cicindela's to see what the hands look like.

Yes white straight or lollipop , however the paint could have come off an original hand. Ask Achim, I believe it is his watch. watchyouwant

This watch is not for the novice vintage omega collector.

And the price will not be for the faint of heart. 😜

And the watch is also not for the serious omega speedmaster collector.

This one's just about to go off in 2 hours, still around 3.5k

Yup. But what about the cracked lume in the minute and hour hands - any comments / views as to how this impacts overall vintage value (regardless of hammer price) ... would be great. Thanks in advance.

I think this is a Ref. 2782. Dial has a couple of ticks, but the case and bezel are very sharp.

I'd like to see movement pics, but I'll guess that it is pretty nice.

That case is VERY nice. Look at the backside of the lugs - the gold capping is still rolling over quite a bit. That's the thinnest part and usually wears off quickly.
