I have been in touch with the seller. Her name is Esther and she was given the watch as a present from her husband, but she felt it was too big for her and it has been agreed that it should be sold. The husband apparently has a modern Omega and several other watches, so it is to him that we should probably look for answers to our questions. However, it might well be undiplomatic to do so in this particular instance . . .

Well I'm still not buying the story, especially with the obvious staging.

I don't buy the story, but I think that hubbie is the culprit, not her. I would just like to know where the hell he got that strap 馃槈

Wish there were some case pictures, as the little bit of case sticking out in that picture looks pretttttty mirror finished.

Incorrect chrono second hand, case has been badly over polished and lost its sharpness, bezel looks pretty good though

Buyer beware on this watch with this seller. Here's some of the info I received from the seller when I was questioning the originality of the crown on the watch.

"I am sure it's all original ... Why are you saying the crown is not ?"
"I work at a reputable watch store for 20 years ... Have master watchmaker on site ... I am not a typical eBay seller ..."
"Correct crown? I already told you it's all original. It's my dead grandpas and he wore it twice my grandma bought it for him and it's an original crown."
"By the way ... I don't care to make money ... My grandpa left me 20,000,000 ... So have fun taking close up photos"

All I did was try to explain to him why I wanted more details / info on the watch when the pictures were so fuzzy that you can't see anything properly.

If his dead gramps left him 20 million why the f馃が is he selling the man's watch instead of keeping it to remind him of how generous the old guy was?

This guy might not think it, but he IS the typical eBay seller - unhelpful and arrogant.

I know. 馃檨 I still stayed polite to him and even tried offering him some advice. I checked his feedback and there is nothing on watches. Too bad because I would have liked the strap!
