But it's not a column wheel chronograph and not the lemania equivalent to the cal. 320

Depends on what you were after. It's not the same movement as the omega cal. 320 that is in Ash's watch if that is what you thought it was.

It isn't a column wheel chronograph. It is more a predecessor to the 861 if you look at the movement in detail. The 1270 has an ordinary balance, the 1275 has Kif shock protection and the 1276 has Incabloc.

Omega never used a version of this but if you look at the 127x and the 861, you really can see the evolution and I am sure that many of the parts are probably the same. In particular, both chronos use only two eccentrics and both of these are in the same position.

I wasn't specifically looking for anything. It is a good looking Lemania and I thought the price looked good for a ~1955 gold chronograph. In your opinion do you think this was overpriced for what it is?

That depends on how much you chipped him on the asking price.

Sorry, fixed. I blame IOS 7.
Can't tell for sure if those markers are WG or PG.

That sounds about right. I have got a 1276 to service/mend in my project list and I quite like the movement - it looks well built.

Thank you gentlemen! I've started to really like the chronographs especially some of the two sub-dial models...This looked like an interesting piece.

What is the significance of the L W O, if any?

No picture of the movement, so it's a bit of a gamble.

I think the markers are yellow but just aged. The medallion looks yellow.
