Nice watch, but those awful photos!!!!
Agreed! I suspect someone will be getting a decent deal on that one.

What do you mean by use protection? I asked for additional pictures as well and whether it runs.
He means: take care that it isn't a scam/new sellers can be dangerous. His buy-it-now is reasonable IMO, and the case and dial and hands + crown all look good to me, I think it is probably worth the $1800, but it'll definitely need a service.

He has been responding pretty quickly and updated the pictures once I asked. Would he not send the watch? I thought ebay is pretty protective towards the buyer if any issues no?

Depends, the reason a seller has to go along with it, is to not lose his account. He could definitely run off with the money in some way. New accounts aren't afraid of being shut down/losing history/feedback.

I would use the safest payment method possible including making the payment using a card that you can buyer protection from if needed

Thanks I made a bid on it and see what happens. Maybe I can get it under the $1800 given seller pictures and new seller?

I always pay with my Amex which is usually great as well with disputes

A bit hesitant now since the shipping on the listing is shown as freight with no amount described. Worried I may get charged a huge fee on top since he claims he can't update the shipping method and that he is shipping DHL and not freight. What are your thoughts on that?

you could ask for an estimate and if he did charge way too much it would be fair to abandon the deal and eBay would back that given it鈥檚 a tiny watch

Seller seems very shady now. First claimed to send through DHL and now DHL doesn't deliver etc. Pretty sure its a scam 99.9% if anyone is going to bid be SUPER careful. Every message its a different story... Will keep a look out for the next one!

馃嚭馃嚫 Vintage Omega Constellation Piepan Grand Luxe in 18K Gold going no reserve, interesting finishing on the lugs that I haven't seen before, I've seen cross hash / waffle pattern finish but the bark look is one I hadn't seen

Currently at $3800 which is still a LOT cheaper than the new version in steel
