I think if you want a critique on a listing, it belongs to a separate thread. This thread is really best for current ebay listing recommendations from forum moderators and members and not meant to be diverted to off topic discussions on "what do you think of this ebay listing"
My bad. Another forum faux pas. Is that two or three strikes? Moved to new thread. Thanks!

No, not strikes. You only have missteps. We look at that like tripping over the rug without falling through the coffee table - no harm.

This is a nice 2577 Seamaster pin gold Cap if you could get it for a good "make offer price. A little wear on top edge lugs, but not bad. The watch does not look like it has been messed with. I think think the photos are poor and this would be a nice looking watch. Probably a cal 354 from serial number, can't see the regulator to be sure not a 351

Something is fishy about the lume on the numbers.

Seller is well known in the vintage Rolex world, and I have never seen anything bad said about him or the stuff he sells. 馃憤

For those looking for a seamaster cal. 321 chronograph - this one should look much nicer after the crystal is replaced.

I was a bit bothered by the lume too.

Could someone articulate their reservations about the lume? Looking to learn...is it the thickness of it?

Also I have a problem with the outer chapter off center from the black ring

I think the dial was relumed because it's puffy and poorly applied. Anyone can change the color to look vintage with some type of staining agent in the mix or after it's on the dial. The 5 and 7 are leaking onto the subdial too.

Steve's points regarding the dial imperfections are well taken. The other thing that bothers me about the watch is why a "pristine" example would not have the original crown. And I'm not sure as well if the case has been polished as well. Still a nice looking watch but not worth the premium Mr. Shear is looking to get for it - again IMHO.

Again, this one is for the US only, I clicked on shipping and ask a question, this is what I've got

We're sorry we couldn't find an answer for you. Unfortunately, this seller is not able to respond to your question. We suggest reviewing the item again to see if your answer is in the seller's listing.

You know, despite these imperfections (on high mag), I favor that the dial and lume are original. One sure way to tell, at least about the lume, is to hold the watch under a Geiger counter. These '40s-50s Omegas are pretty radioactive.

That's not foolproof either - there are still old time watchmakers that can re-lume with radium. It bothers me - the dial imperfection plus the replacement crown - if the watch is in impeccable shape why would the crown not be original (especially since the case and movement both look equally nice)? It could very well be that the dial is original but the question about the print and the lume plus the crown makes me want to watch but not bid on the watch.
