I agree of course it would have more value. Should this listing go double the price?

At least - it's not just the case material but the case reference (screwback case) is also more desirable.

This one will clean up nicely once serviced and the crown is replaced with the correct one.

I am now eagerly waiting for each new recommendation on this thread! Love the dial. All that is stopping me is that the seller says the watch isn't working, so who knows what one would be up for in servicing/repair costs 馃檨

Dejavu, was just looking at that, slightly OT but why is it that on these date at 6 Seamasters they often look like the date is off-center for some reason

I think movement just needs to be serviced. Even including the costs of servicing the watch, price is still reasonable especially if you can get the seller to part with it at less than the the asking BIN price.

This thread is excellent! I saw the latest ebay find also. I agree, even with additional service it would be a good buy. Alas, the coffers are still being replenished.馃檨

the date ring has teeth and those teeth are hold in correct position by a triangle which is pushed by a spring. When this spring gets weak or the date ring is binding some where, you will see the date off center. (and that's normal with these @6)

Needs a new crystal and some cleaning of the case with soap and water and a change of crown but after that you have a nice automatic seamaster.

Amazing deal. How do you find these? Is there no concern for lack of movement photos?

Not really. Nice dial and case typically means nice movement.

Mmmm, common sense. Who would have thought to use it with vintage Omega listings. Obviously, I didn't.馃檮 Thanks

Just do a search each day for "newly listed" Omega and check out what intrigues you.

I think if you want a critique on a listing, it belongs to a separate thread. This thread is really best for current ebay listing recommendations from forum moderators and members and not meant to be diverted to off topic discussions on "what do you think of this ebay listing"
