Hi, a new member and a freshy for ebay here. May I ask if it is normal for the bidding price to be raised right away after i just raised it? It happens all the time i raise price on the watch and It feels like a bot to me. Wont a person need some time to consider how much to raise?

The system works that when you bid if prior bidder (existing high bidder) has a higher top bid then it will immediately move up so they remain the higher bidder. This will keep happening until your bid is above his high bid. So it is kind of like a bot.

Whats good price for this one?
Being nice condition and UK market I could see it going slightly above where it’s at now but not much as it’s close to the limit for a Geneve as it is, maybe another 50 quid

Hello, new to watches and also on eBay. Understand through light internet research that eBay's authentication program is fairly in depth.

If I'm looking at an older limited edition watch selling without warranty/papers, will eBay's authentication program validate the watch by taking a look inside and checking for any obviously fake components? Or will they be able to go as far as validating that a watch is an authentic limited edition (w/o documents) and not a modded watch? Appreciate any views the forum could provide.

Welcome to the forum but this thread is not 'not for inquiries' so your best course is to start a new thread in the 'Open Discussion Forum'.

De Ville 165.008 Ultra-thin Cal 711 in gold-plate going no reserve

https://www.ebay.com/itm/395748126349

This one goes off tomorrow, these ultra-thins always tend to attract very little bidding and go remarkably cheaply
