Another Speedmaster 145.022 Straight Writing with DNN bezel, these have gone very cheaply lately and are one of the best value vintage Speedys left, easy to maintain Cal 861 movement and one of the more special sub-references with that calibre. Doesn’t have the 1039 bracelet and endlinks but imo its a bit of a mediocre bracelet anyway and better on a strap or something.

Edit: This watch should be avoided, there’s a thread with details here:

Don‘t know if it‘s just me but the link doesn‘t work for me 😕

Not sure how to fix it. It's yahoo auctions with english version inthe search bar plus omega speedmaster. The item number is the last of the string. Sorry.

Quite a nice example of a Cal 1020 Seamaster Day-Date automatic on bracelet, these tend to go for quite reasonable prices due to being less well known than their Cal 75x relatives but are very cool watches at around 36mm

I'd be very wary of this watch! This the exact watch I thought I was buying but got burned and posted about in this thread.

This mis-matched end link at the 6 o'clock side of the case is what tipped me off. It has the same dings & scratches on the non-crown side of the case.

No need to thank me, wish I didn't have to post / share it. And yes there can be pitfalls like my recent one but all of my other experiences buying vintage watches have been great. As many more experienced members have said it quite a bit before and it's very true, buy the seller and do your own research.

No worries, happy to try to help others and hopefully spare them of a tough experience.

Excellent example of a 145.022-69 Straight Writing with sharp case, bracelet and great condition going no reserve, these are quite under-appreciated still

https://www.ebay.com/itm/196262589429

This one would definitely be the better of the 145.022-69 SW examples currently going, 2 days left and at $4,200

Golden Seamaster Cal 564 going off in 7 hours, starting bid isn’t unreasonable for condition and how uncommon these are, very cool 36mm Seamasters

True, they are not common. However, there is not a single picture of the dial or case taken at a reasonable distance to ensure that this is not a redial, or that the case finishing wasn’t polished off.

The price is not enough to warrant a gamble.

I just messaged the seller and asked for better pics. I raised your concerns and asked to have clear dial and case images.
Cheers!

DON bezel too, the sum of its parts would probably be more than that if it were broken down

That looks like a really nice watch, sharp edges, good lume. I guess the only risk is that the movement is wrong/trashed… but at that price..
