Where would you top out on price for this one? I have a decent sense of the Pie Pan's but not the regular constellations...
Sorry mate was asleep but the end price seamed very fair

Seems like a pretty low price compared to other Constellations I've seen. Is this because it isnt a Pie Pan?

That is one element, the second is that it has some patina and spots on the dial

Omega De Ville 166.053 Cal 752 in steel in nice shape… also has an Omega 1035 flat-link stretch bracelet on it which is worth a lot more than the watch so it won’t go cheap but if you’re in need of a flat-link it could be a good way to pick one up.

This one goes off in 7 hours, still very cheap so far considering the value the bracelet adds

I wrote about the head of this watch here: https://stories.omegaforums.net/buying-an-omega-for-less-than-a-moonswatch/

Constellation hidden crown automatic in steel, in the UK, has a reserve but still worth a try anyway as it’s a decent watch that appears to be running well already according to the seller.

That was a hell of a deal with a 1035 bracelet included, anyone get it?
Great looking watch. Considered it, but had no idea what the “Hell of a Deal” price might be. Might I suggest your off-the-cuff, HOAD price be included in SOME of your picks for the listings? Something like:

“This one goes off in 7 hours, still very cheap so far considering the value the bracelet adds. HOAD below $750”.

Certainly would cut down on questions like, “what do you think top end should be…” from cowboy hat wearing Omega watch noobs like me 😀

That might be a bit too much to ask for. For example the HOAD of that auction probably lies in pairing that bracelet with a different watch. Therefor the value is gonna vary person to person. Suggesting a price isn't straight forward. There are many variables to consider. Your asking someone going out of their way to be helpful to put more work and effort in.

Besides that it's still best practice to do your own research and figure out for yourself what market value is decide what you are willing to pay. You will start to pick up knowledge along the way as you do and you will be less and less of a noob.

That’s fair…complicated, but fair. I’m just trying to learn to assess watches. I haven’t even begun to think about bracelet rarity and value.

The De Ville was a dope watch that I was strongly considering, too. But my heart is set on a steel C-shape Constellation. I hope more make it on here soon!

You should check out CLOSER, they have a number of them:

They are generally considered an honest seller. I have not bought from them, but many others here have. Their prices and the watches are usually pretty good, but not exceptional.

Honest question: where do I find such sales data?

This is rather nice, Constellation Pie-pan non-luminous variant 168.005 in steel Cal 561, dial has some patina but not unattractive, case is quite sharp, going no reserve
