How can you tell if the dial is solid gold without the "OM" on either side of "Swiss Made"?
Golden seamaster. Condition being equal I prefer this to the grand luxe constellation pictured above - certainly more uncommon and harder to find especially with an original 18k gold bracelet.

The use of "OM" appears to be intermittent according to Desmond, so in most cases you would have to look at the back to be sure. However, gold dial Constellations are usually fairly distinctive.
I do not believe the watch that Ash (Ash never said the dial was gold) posted and you quote has a gold dial. I think it is just the effect of the color temperature of the photo lighting source.
