Well Ash it arrived today and it was even better than I expected. It has very few micro scratches and is definitely unpolished, which is hard to find these days

So here it is, with an Omega bracelet that looks very smart. Although it does not appear to be the standard issue for this model the watch is so original I think it may have been there from the beginning. In fact I just found another with the same bracelet on Chrono24, so it is probably original.

Thanks for the tip!

Looks good, yea the bracelet looks like one of those domestic market produced Omega bracelets from Mexico or other South American countries, they would be made with Omega's consent locally to dodge taxes afaik,

Saw this little number on eBay:

I kinda like it’s Jekal ‘n Hyde party trick, I know it’s only quartz and a bit of a gimmick, but it does look in good nick as far as the case and bracelet goes, other than the fact it’s a non runner.
No I’m not interested enough for a dead quartz watch at that price.
I’ve never seen one before and thought it interesting

Hi OF,
sorry for a perhaps stupid question, is it common to see a large number of eBay Omega C-Cased constellations from Japan at a "cheap" price? Thank you in advance for the reply.
Here an example

So that one I wouldn’t be buying it’s a rough example and there are others in the last page or two of this thread that are much better.

Right now Japan is a smorgasbord of well priced watches because the Japanese yen has taken a huge dump at the end of 2022. It’s recovering now but it went from a long term average of 110 yen to the USD out to 150 yen to the USD in late October.

The yen is strengthening now a bit but it’s still at 127 today which is better than average and pricing in Japan has been static.

Someone got a great deal. I was watching this closely but decided to pass because I am prioritizing another one.

Not a bad little gold filled De Ville with no date, has an engraving on the back but its clean and nicely done, quite good case condition without wear through and an attractive dial, needs to be put on a strap instead of the twist-o-flex

Under that nasty crystal and filthy case I think there’s a really nice watch in there, well undervalued thus far, but its a monocoque Constellation in steel

I wrote about these here if you’d like to read up: https://stories.omegaforums.net/constellation-monocoque-piepan/

Thanks for making me aware of this one, @dsio 😀
It landed in my mailbox today and after an hour of cleaning, and a little bit of sanding and polishing of the crystal, it looks quite nice.

Looks great man, the filth and the crystal in the photos made that watch look so rough but I knew it would clean up well 👍

Vintage Seamaster Cal 750/752 Day-Date in steel on bracelet, should be good after a new crystal and thorough cleaning and service, quite a nice luminous sparkle dial
