what's the reference on this? do you think the fact that the crystal is cracked and thus would need a new, non-original crystal takes away a lot of the value from a collectors standpoint? I have been looking at some of the 168 ref 60s Omegas in SS to purchase and this could be a suitable solution at a good price for me. I'm just not sure if I should wait and pay more for a better condition case/crystal which will last me longer.
Good effort! I love snipes because I set my limit rationally (?) and then sit back and watch the show. It helps prevent rum-induced or emotional bidding. My sellers probably hate it.
A crystal is easily replaced, and it's a part that wears over time. Nothing to worry about too much. You'll have to know for yourself if you like the case. Looks like the watch has been worn, but not abused - a condition that seems suitable for regular wear. Note though that these aren't exactly uncommon, quite the opposite - they really aren't hard to find, should you desire a better condition - as long as you're ready to pay the premium.

UK Watch, Seamater Sparkle Chronometer in stainless steel with Meister dial, really pretty example and it won’t go cheap but this is one to buy for sure https://www.ebay.com/itm/154798547208?hash=item240ab66108:g:uwEAAOSw-Nph5H1l&LH_Auction=1Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
It won’t be cheap, probably over $1k usd, really nice examples in the UK have been going at a premium of late but I have never regretted overpaying for an excellent example rather than buying a discount version, it stands out and tends to hold its value over time
Not a bad Speedmaster 125 Chronometer on original bracelet in decent shape, these are quite limited and often have ruined bracelets and cases https://www.ebay.com/itm/1751137825...tem28c59844fb:g:mNQAAOSwxE9hqVai&LH_Auction=1Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
UK Watch - Another really nice clean example of a gold plate Geneve, great case, dial and hands, one of the nicest to be listed in a while Will not be cheap, but its an excellent example of a Cal 601 Geneve and deserves to command a premium https://www.ebay.com/itm/125095303485?hash=item1d2042d93d:g:GpIAAOSwxB5h3c77&LH_Auction=1Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

Haven’t bought from this guy yet and he may be a member, but I have to say he gets some good quality stuff in
Just over 4 hours left on this gold plate example, quite a nice one at that. https://www.ebay.com/itm/125095303485?hash=item1d2042d93d:g:GpIAAOSwxB5h3c77&LH_Auction=1Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
