Nice Constellation Calibre 712 Ultra-Thin 167.021, not as mint perfect as recent ones but still nice condition overall and with a very low starting bid

Nice, but possible dial issues (though could be scratches to crystal?) pronounced rotor rub and a seller with16 trades and only one in the past 12 months.....good buy or a lemon?

There are two dial photos at slightly different angles, if you compare the two you can see the scratches on the crystal move above the dial, the movement needs servicing but that鈥檚 to be expected and factored in, 16 feedback sellers you take appropriate precautions but you鈥檒l find that a lot of good watches on eBay come from a person that only ever has and sells one watch in their lifetime and isn鈥檛 a dealer or any sort, so how many staplers or plastic bracelets they鈥檝e sold before doesn鈥檛 really speak to how they will handle a watch transaction anyway

This one that went abnormally high is back which isn鈥檛 a big surprise, might be getting shilled pretty hard

It still should go for a decent amount, but the $1000 USD was clearly unrealistic

Good grief! I was relieved to sell my very similar 136.070 with a 613 movement for 拢350 last year - particularly after no one on OF wanted it at 拢300.

Not sure which one you鈥檙e referring to, but generally: Open a new thread when you have any questions regarding a watch, as this thread isn鈥檛 for inquiries (as per title). Also, for prices, check eBay sold article listings for watches in similar condition.

Nice watch. I鈥檝e bought from Argentina and had no problems or delays
Went for $220.00. I talked myself out of it, but somebody got a great deal.

Went for 拢460.
Whilst concurring with all of @dsio's points above, at that price and in the humble opinion of a newbie, its a lemon.
That said, if it was bought by a forum member I do hope that I'm totally in the wrong.

I鈥檓 not really sure how its a lemon at $610 usd for a 712 ultra thin chronometer in steel with a nice case and dial

If you know what you鈥檙e doing on eBay, the seller feedback isn鈥檛 an issue and I agree that most/all of the marks seem to be on the dial. With a crystal polish/replacement I鈥檒l bet the dial is pretty good.

This isn鈥檛 a stellar example but at 拢460 its no where near a lemon.
