I thought it would go $160-175. so cheaper then I thought, but one thing with these boxes is that they can have a big spread in price depending on how many are listed at a given time. Sometimes if there is one in super condition and another(s) in just good condition this will cause a big spread as everyone bids up the best on and no one bids on the lessor one(s) But you never know.馃檮

True, you never 馃檮

I'll let someone with more dial expertise critique the waffling, but this is the same seller I got my 503 Seamaster Pie-Pan from and he's excellent, both in description and professionalism:

I saw this, and almost missed the ugly case damage along the edge opposite the crown (on case back and inner/outer case), likely from incautious case opening over the years. It almost looks soldered or something, although I'm sure it looks worse in the excellent magnified photos than to the naked eye.

wow, seems like s good deal, (at least if you consider the low $) perfectly aged dial and hands? ...a wee bit of crud around the pushers... doesnt say if chronograph works (non reset chrono second is usually a tell tale?)
its probably the (4)-feedback that keeps people from bidding, I would definitely need a lot of seller detail (name address phone etc) to try such a deal...

If someone wants a project, here's one for you:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-mens-...156168227?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item337def5223

Even though there is no observatory on the back, I'm 99% sure it's all original. They did make these with plain backs for presentation purposes. Observatory backs do show up on eBay from time to time, like this one for a full steel 167.005

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-VINTAG...609267613?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item51a1f0db9d

Needs a new crystal and probably a crown, both of which are doable. If you can get it for $500 or less, you'll do well as the dial looks to be very nice.

Take care,

Condition, condition, condition. And it helps this one had papers too.

Plus the large hippocampus logo on the case back. 馃憤
