Good job. That's a great looking dial and my favorite style S in Seamaster. 馃憤

Nice one! The dial looks pretty much untouched. Case is in great condition, and there are no service marks on the inside of the caseback.

Not an eBay watch, but from a dealer I've bought from in the past. His prices are, well, dealer's prices, but not outrageous, and his watchmaker knows what he's doing at least, so all watches are serviced well.

He has a gold-capped 2852 cal. 501, minimally polished Constellation with beautiful original domed dial for $1550, a pretty fair price for one in this condition, I think, and serviced:

I am literally about to pull the trigger on this. Thanks for pointing it out! Is the dial definitely original or do you think it had been redone?

Also, what do you think that light red wear is on the upper right lug? Do you think that will come off? Thanks!

Thanks Kyle! I'll post up some pics when I get it!!!
That connie is pristine and while price is not cheap it is justified by the great condition and everything is original beyond a shadow of a doubt.

I think it's either tarnishing or some dirt, it should come off with a very light polish.

That is either photo shadow or a slight bit of tarnish from the alloys in the gold. The tarnish would polish off with a dry jewelers cloth.

Good buy - my advice, don't polish it at all even with that bit of tarnish - you've got to keep the case as sharp as possible.

Thanks 馃憤 I probably will not polish it. The tarnish probably won't bother me when I get the watch, but in the super blown up pics on their site it is more noticeable.

Actually, I love what that same tarnish does to the large arrowhead markers. Gives them a rich and red gold appearance 馃憤

If it's a little leftover red rouge, you can use a Selvyt or Sontara cloth to rub it off without affecting the metal.
