Well... it was made in 1970, the SM300 was already 200M, as was the Rolex Submariner range including 5512, 5513, and 1680, and the Sea Dweller 1665 was already 600M with plexiglass. Even the Omega Big Blue was 120M and it had chronograph pushers

I like the dial. Is there something different about the movement? The photo shows 2 Omega logos. Since I'm still in the learning process, with a giant curve, I'm just not sure about it. Plus I don't see the serial number.

No problems with the movement - that's how its supposed to look like.

Crosshair typically goes through the right of the spine of the the letter E. That is an original dial with patina in that watch.

I put in a cheeky bid on my phone while I was out, but got slightly outbid. Did anyone here get it ?

Wasn't me, despite liking it. That would only end up being one more watch I'd have to flip when it came down to the end game.

At least you have the end game in sight :). It's quite a way off for most of us :D

True (I hope). I remember what I was like the first few years - all over the map, buying whatever I had the spare cash to grab, just like most new(er) to the hobby. Tons of fun! Now I'm at the point where I want to downsize the quantity and raise the quality. The Most Wanted list has been seriously pared down. So has the Target of Opportunity list.

Of course, an 18ct white gold Conquest Power Reserve is still something I'd rob Peter to pay Paul for. ;)

Yep, the dial is 30 to 40% of the value of the watch. Other parts can be found easier than a mint dial.

I bid. But was hoping it would go under $1000. I love the blue dial, but would be happier with a 300m if I can find one for under $2k.
