The 2577 is a reference that deserves a place in every vintage Omega collection, nice and chunky with a huge amount of variations due to the long production run. I have had quite a few over the years and still have one in my collection which gets quite a lot of wrist time. They also fit to a flat link bracelet perfectly which is a great alternative to leather and the look I prefer.

This one I agree is nice but I find the lugs just a little too polished on the lug bevels, which for me are the strongest point on this ref and give the case its character. Still it is a decent buy for someone at, or around that, price.

While I agree that the watch may have had a polish too many, I think this is reflected in the price. In my opinion, the overall condition of this one is very nice - not perfect, but certainly worth the cost! I do like the look of the movement and dial, and having a clover crown is a great. The box is a bit of dressing on the top. Would love to see a new member post this one in the "Omega under $500" thread

...Would absolutely love to have a flat link bracelet. I go green with envy everytime someone on here posts theirs. So please don't :(

I bought it, am not quite a new member any longer and if as I expect VAT gets added on top when it arrives it may not actually qualify for the $500 thread. I have been looking for a nice bumper for a while and this looks just the job. Many thanks for flagging it up. I had seen it myself but didn't really consider it with it being the other side of the world but this thread gave me the push to act.

Congrats - I really hope it sneaks under the radar!!

Congratulations, I bet you'll love it. I am a huge fan of the old bumpers, they are very charismatic

Thanks! I do hope it turns out OK, my last 2 ebay purchases have turned out to be duds, one was a Franken f300 and the other in much worse condition than advertised. It is such a minefield!

I'm trying to be more selective and no longer snap up every example I see.

1974 wrist band calendars. Outside the Apollo era but may match your birth year, significant date or caseback.
Don't appear to have an advertisers name on the calendars themselves, just a small logo; which I usually consider a bonus.
Made popular by @TLIGuy for us fanboys.

I had a look at that one, and I passed due to (what seems to be!) rather worn lugs. Price is good, though I would have loved to see a better photo of the dial and some documentation of a recent service.

    Yep dial looks quite nice
Difficult to see if lugs are good or not
    Replacement hands and crown
    Worn medallion
Might be a nice daily beater if you could get it cheap

Not eBay, but here it goes:

Alfredo Paramico is selling a pink Deluxe on a pink bracelet with lots of goodies. I informed, but cannot afford it (think big money).

If someone has a head only pink 2853 (no box and papers with the accompanying premium), I'm game.

I'm tempted myself because this is my most desired watch. It would be a watch never to leave my collection and I'd wear it on a strap. The joy of the full set and the bracelet for me is not worth the incredibly premium.

It's probably a case of "if you have to ask...", but dooes anyone have any idea of the price?

Ok @Peemacgee ... What my friend @BartH means is that ... this super rare (pink) Constellation with superb Connie with 7077 bct and original papers, cost is ...16.5€

And by the way, did anyone say it's completely original in mint condition? :whistling:

    Just ... askin' :)

    good looking watch

but I'm with @BartH on this one

the gold bracelet (splendid though it is) is too much for me and actually detracts from the watch (IMHO)
