Centenary ref.2500
Thanks. I find myself looking at vintage Omega's often, but am hesitant to pull the trigger as I wonder if it's a novelty I wouldn't actually wear often. Out of curiousity, do you wear it often?

$4102 - someone got a nice deal!

"This listing was ended by the seller because the item was sold" = someone made an offer outside of the bidding process and got it. Unfortunately we don't know what it went for, but I wouldn't be surprised if it brought close to 7. Good bezel (besides the unfortunate damage at the dot-over-90 area), dial, hands; looks like a nice 1039 bracelet.... the replacement crown is the only downside appearance-wise

I was bidding on it and the other .321 the seller had. Ended both early to the highest bidder shortly after my max bids were topped...goes to show that you should always email the seller on the watches that you really want to make sure they won't end early. I didn't expect to win either, and was disappointed to see them end within an hour of being listed.

Ahhh, I didn't see that it was ended early. Hopefully someone here nabbed it at a decent price.

@watchknut It sucks when it happens to you, but it's part of the game now. Though in most cases, sellers won't end the auction early if the watch already has a bunch of bids... So that's why I expect the sale price was on the higher end (also @gophishin ). Doubtful the seller would accept $1k on top of the $4102 they already had guaranteed, as letting the auction run would probably end higher than that! I'm guessing 6.5 - 7.

Seller is a fool to end early in this overheated market.

I agree on all parts. I chucked in bids for fun, and wanted to watch them even though I would not be in the running at the end.

I'll bet the seller had an overheated offer though

No doubt. Still probably a mistake with an iconic item generating lots of interest... even though he probably dodges eBay fees.

I took a chance and emailed the seller to ask how much the 66 and 67 sold for, writing, "As I'm in the market for a similar condition Speedmaster from this era, if you don't mind me asking how much they were sold for so I have an idea of what it will take for me in the future?" 馃槜

I'll update if they reply... 馃嵖
