Just curious how many people here wear a vintage as an everyday piece, in regular rotation, only occasionally, etc. I wear a contemporary watch most of the time, and like vintage pieces for a change of pace, so probably wear a vintage watch one or two days a week. Part of that might be a concern that my vintage pieces seem more fragile in my mind than a relatively new watch, so don't want to keep them running 100+ days a year. It's silly perhaps but just a feeling.
I more a collector than a user. I only wear a vintage Omega but i have maybe 5 I wear on a regular basis, the rest is in a safe
Every day on rotation Case, dial, strap depending on my suit, shoes, cufflinks I buy watches (Connies) I love to ware Got to keep coordinated...
I wear one every day. Usually the same one for 3-4 days in a row then switch going through all of the 6 or 7 I have.
Almost exclusively. About 7-10 vintage watches which I wear in rotation. My only modern watch is a Sinn, which I believe I haven't worn in 2 years.
Everyday. My core rotation of Rolex and Omega lives on two PeneLop Twisters, and they run twice a day for an hour. My Speedies sit on top of the winders and I wind them every day...just fun to do.
Look at the WRUW thread and all you questions will be answered...seems many members are wearing vintage watches often.
Every day. Rotating over 60 watches - often change watches a couple of times per day. I do have some semi modern but the 50-70ies dominate as users. This today:
Pretty much all the time. Rotating about 6 watches from 1942 to 1980s, Omega, Longines to Hermès and automatic Seiko.
Whenever I feel like it, really. My collection is mostly vintage with a couple of newer LE Speedmasters, so I'd say at least 3 or 4 days a week.
I only own one vintage piece, and managed to put a long, deep scratch in the crystal within the first hour of wearing it. I've been kind of shy about wearing it since then -- maybe one day per month. Here it is, scratch and all.
Everyday. Usually I wear in a weekly rotation. I have to admit after the latest Christies results, I am thinking about taking the 105.003 out of the rotation.
Vintage every day here as well. Sometimes 2 or even 3 each day. Season, occasion and state of mind decides. 20-30 favourites. Tries to keep more in rotation but find it hard. Tomorrow it's a bit formal so this one is out of the safe:
Everyday (unless I'm wearing my early 2000s 2254.50). The rotation changes with how I feel in the morning. I've worn this one 4 days in a row.
Practically everyday.. the only thing that is newish is my submariner from 2001. Mostly in rotation but the speedies get a high percentage of the wrist time.
