Was pushed up via shill-bidding from about 1400 to over 4000 euro - now listed with a buy now of 4600 euro - go figure...

Shame that, I wonder if any auctions are shill free on Ebay anymore?

It certainly is a lot different now to 10 years ago, I can well remember only auctions and no BINs, the majority starting at 0,01 cent. Setting my alarm for 4am to snag bargain mislabeled US auctions, back then no shills to speak of............ah I suppose this is what we must call progress 😲

Just had one bargain shill bidded 20 times in 3 mins just to establish my limit 😡 That's the reason why I use snipping software most of the times nowadays.

Yeah the Ebay market is saturated with buyers and overflowing with shilled auctions and overpriced tat. I used to find maybe 80% of my watches there, now it is more like 5% and less each year

5 seconds?!
I thought it was later than that..
I usually dive in manually with around 2 seconds to go
the risk of not registering your bid is half the fun 😉

I wouldn't worry. It's been out there for a long time.

Looks like a nice watch, but seller is unrealistic. Particularly with gold below $1,100/oz.

Omega Constellation 14381 Gold Railroad dial (incorrectly labelled as a pie pan). (A dream watch for me, but only ships within the US :-( )

Very little time remaining. We'll see if it sells or returns.

This watch has been for sale for a long time now - the dial scratches in the center turned me off on the watch.

That's always the problem with watches that are nice but for a flaw like that, you'll never look at it and see anything but the scratch.

True. One wonders how those scratches came about though, considering how nice the case back is?

I saw the same seller sold another railroad dial in rose gold a while back. Well, eventually one will turn with my name on it.

The marks look like they were made by a clumsy watchmaker removing/installing hands without using a protective sheet over the dial. Tragic.......

Public flogging is too kind a punishment for such oversights. It's not like a watch like that, with a gold railroad dial, was common in the first place.

Why do you post this in the recommended watch thread?

Please read the instructions first....
Sorry I was replying to another post but failed to quote it. I've deleted the post.
