Slightly obscure. Maybe enough to present at least a modicum of difficulty.

Or maybe not, knowing the calibre of the frequenters of this thread…

a question in need of answering
A single word answer will suffice

Rosso Di Montalcini

Morellino Di Scansano

Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano

Brunello Di Montalcino

Capricci (a bit of a red herring, you can safely ignore)

Why....................................................n

😁

(Wasn't hard to guess Matty, now if you were a motor mechanic or something it would have been harder).

Thought it was too easy.

I sense Tuscan Reds, but Capricci confuses me.

No, there is a mix of doc, docg and igt here
Let me remove the ringer, Capricci
I’ll go back and remove that- and it should be clearer

@Matty1

Just to clarify; Capricci Sangiovese is a blend. The others are a single grape wine. Is that why Capricci was removed?

I’ll drink a nice Chianti or a South-Eastern Australian Merlot, but I ain’t no wine buff.

chianti is typically a blend too, with at least 75% Sangiovese, (80% for Chianti Classico) but usually it will contain 10% canaiolo, sometimes Colorino, with other varietals allowed in the mix too…

all of the remaining clues were regions wherein the red wines must be a majority or in some instances 100% Sangiovese

Capricci, not being a region was a bit of a red herring, so I thought best to pull it

I'll go for Guiseppe Verdi, composer of "The Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves".
