This one is about as local (to me) as the cane toad is to the area it haunts. When you finally know the answer, you may interdict me from further participation in the rebus thread! 😁 This rebus has to do with an endangered species which is found in only one place in the world! As I said, this is payback for the cane toad rebus!

It’s definitely not Yukon Goldenweed…c’mon guys, we only have 307 other endangered species to sort through!

This is a good one, I’ll need to dig in the AM after some coffee (pots, plural!).

Oh, did @blubarb just twig this one?!?!??

if so, well done sir!

If @blubarb ’s reference to Yukon Goldenweed could be construed as being even close to the answer for my latest masterpiece, sorry! The classification is fauna, not flora. The reference to fauna might cause you to deduce that the endangered species I want you to identify, might have legs. It doesn’t! And since the legendary creature, the faun, likely had four legs, I didn’t want to mislead you all. You’re going to hate me!

“Chicanes”. Hold that thought! (No, it is not some kind of chicken. Chickens have legs.)

How about Banff Springs Snail?

Right Canadian National Park, and right type of fauna. So close, Soooooo close!

Eubalaena glacialis
Now I am guessing.... 😀

Not Aberdeenshire. You are guessing I’m after a Northern Right whale. No. As to location, see @JimInOz ’s last stab at an answer for a clue to location. Somehow, I think the “tag team” will come up with the answer. Provided I don’t leak too many clues.

I think I recall @JimInOz saying once in this forum, that he had visited Banff National Park. I think I might have to introduce a new style of trophy for this one. A Tag Team trophy! @blubarb and @JimInOz should put their heads together. If I am right about @JimInOz having visited Banff National Park, he may have even visited the location shown in the one clue. THAT is key!

OK, what I've got.
1st pic - Town of Banff viewed from the hill in Macduff. The River Deveron in the foreground and Tesco supermarket above that. I stayed there for two weeks and crossed the river to Banff nearly every day.
2nd pic - minus
3rd pic - Shire horse

PS: The 2nd and 3rd clues I didn't need, but they confirmed my first guess.

4th pic - Cave/spring
5th pic - S bend
6th pic - Ship with cargo

So I got Banff Springs escargot.

I'm now stumped.

I got to Banff the same way, via Aberdeenshire, Banff Scotland and yes on the escargot
