Question: Railmaster Case Around the Crown

I apologize if this is an obvious question. I'm really hoping that it is. I have purchased a second hand Railmaster 220.12.40.20.01.001 which is running extremely well, gaining fewer than two seconds per day during normal daily wear. I've noticed there appears to be a cut-out on the case around the crown. Looking at pictures of other Railmasters online, I've never been able to see this cut-out. Is this a normal thing? Is the case supposed to look like this? I've included a picture with the area I'm talking about circled below.

Mine has a barely noticeable flat section below the crown that extends to the bottom of the side of the case. Apologies for the iPhone pictures but hopefully you’ll see what I mean.

I took the pictures with the crown unscrewed.

Thank you Engee. It's difficult to see in those photos. I've had some people tell me they do not have this cut-out on their Railmasters. Others have told me it is normal. Is it possible Omega is manufacturing different versions of the Railmaster case? Perhaps the cut-out is so subtle, people aren't noticing it? Or maybe my case has been fiddled with by a watchmaker? Any further insights anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: Omega has had a look. They say all is well! Thank you everyone who sent me messages and photos.

Replying to an old thread. I too raised a thread about this a while back. I was told by an Ad it is yo protect the case and is shaped intentionally like a railway tunnel. Not so sure the latter is true myself, but...
