The dial and movement look correct for a 2648, the case however looks more 1960's to me and certainly not what I'd expect from a French cased 2648 equivalent.

Also French 2648's normally have Fab.Suisse on the dial, this one doesn't...so a few questions here, how's the case back medallion?


Very interesting - could your 2648 have been delivered with a fluted crown originally, @cristos71 ?

Read this interesting thread again - @kedrico do you know if the buckle is a new addition to the watch (it looks like it) or was the watch originally delivered with it?

Hi @felsby Watch came with an original omega leather strap and this buckle indeed. I tend to think buckle + strap came together but I don't know enough on this specific matter.

I ask because I have the same watch, and it came with an identical buckle, which I don't quite understand as it looks much too modern to me. It is a rare buckle with 18k spring bar.
