Several years after I was married I stopped wearing my wedding ring. Nice ring goes with anything tri gold color with diamond. One day I took it off and told my wife to deal with it. We have been married too long to worry about a ring. My wife wears her ring. Mine is in a safety deposit box.

The One Ring. Purchased 30 years ago at a JC Penny in Center City Philly. Goes with everything. It's a miracle I've not lost it. Looks fine with my Rose and yellow gold watches. Don't care if I get a fashion citation.
Gotta love how gold patinas with wear (in a good way).

I own two yellow gold watches that I don't wear much if at all. My ring is white gold and most of my watches are stainless steel so no problem.

Wanted a platinum band but couldn't justify it.

The one I wear has too much meaning to switch out though.

I wear only one ring on my hands, it symbolizes the wedding vows made to my wife and it isn't on my finger as a fashion statement. It happens to be white gold and therefore matches any SS watch, but I wear it with whatever watch I might eventually choose to wear.

I do match my belts with my shoes, and I might make an attempt to match a watch strap with my belt and shoes, but none of those fashion decisions would have any relation to my wedding band.

1.) not married so I don't have my own experience to contribute(sorry). However I feel that I will just have the one ring (to rule them all) because I'm a more symbolic person and feel that changing it to match takes some of that meaning away.

2.) I am thoroughly enjoying this thread because it gives a much different insight into everyone's personality, values, and obsessive compulsiveness in some cases.

3.) I'm thinking when the time comes that I start shopping for an engagement ring I will need to get some opinions from all you married folks.

I always wondered about the clash.. I actually like the idea except for the fact that I'd be certain to lose it loll

I have to say I love how many guys believe their wedding band is too important to change up for fashion's sake. I am the same except now that the love of my life bought me another I can wear either.

I contend that anything on your left ring finger is symbolic of your wedding vows, love and fidelity. Wearing a ring projects your marital status to the world around you...

My wife is just concerned with the fact that I wear a ring... which ring is less of an issue...
One time I left without a ring and put a twist-tie around my finger...I just wanted something to show that my heart belongs to someone... that one is still my wife's favourite ring of all time...
