Question about a Speedmaster with non original winder?

I’m looking at a very good condition (at least least externally) Speedmaster… sharp hippocampus, good bezel) 145.012-67 SP. The only thing that gives me pause is the crown appears to have been replaced. It is missing the Omega symbol. Everything else looks good, but I’m wondering if this is a “run away now” sign? Assuming the crown got l replaced by non Omega branded part, and this is the only issue, is it correctable?

Thanks for any guidance

without pics, it's hard to advise.... but the crown is considered a normal part to replace during service, to maintain water resistance. it is easily replaced with an original 24 tooth crown if desired.

Ref. 145.22-67 SP?
Do you mean 145.012-67 SP?
Without picture it is like a mission impossible.

Cheers

As above, pictures are needed for a decent assessment but an incorrect crown is not in itself a reason to walk away

Thank you for the replies. You’re all correct 145.012-67 SP. I’ll edit the original post. If I can figure out how to get a photo uploaded to a url I’ll post pics. The last site I was using has changed their rules and I have not kept up.

A non original crown isn’t a problem in itself. However it indicates and attitude by previous owner or technician- that they either chose or were obliged to use non original parts.

here we see they used a non original chronograph seconds hand.
A lot depends on price, and it would be nice to see a higher resolution, cleaner photo (that is less editing. )

It looks to me like most of the lume has gone from the hour markers. This has a much more significant impact on attractiveness, collectability and value than the generic crown to me.
