On the right, my First Longines (PG-cap cal. 30L bought 9 months ago), on the left, my 10K GF cal. 343 Grand Prize bought 2 mos ago... ...and these are the truly affordables... kinda hard to tell, eh?
I rarely wear these because I'm not much of a 'gold' wearer, but I love their inherent beauty. So, there's always this thread, where they can be posted in full honesty, without having to 'strap-em on' .... @Darlinboy
I haven't posted in a while either... I purchased my Longines Hour Angle chronograph new from a Longines AD in 1996. The original black leather band (with extender) is pictured not installed on the watch. The unbranded black nylon NATO band installed on the watch was purchased from Dakota Watch Co. for $7.
Hi, This is a 13.33 Z. - manufactured since 1910 it was the precursor of the 13ZN. The Case is original. The special feature of that movement ist the instantly jumping minute-counter. An early 13ZN should look like this: regards - h.u.
My old watchmaker buddy pulled this from his box. He's thinking of servicing and finding correct hands "some time". Smaller size but very cool.
I have two of Longines first entry into automatics from 1950, the caliber 22. These are both in 14k yellow gold. The cal 22A. I really do love the Art Deco styling of this one: ...and then the cal 22AS: I do like this one a lot, too, with its amazing dial, and super-cool lugs (some more 'Deco') but It may be the one to go in order to make room for more...
Picked up my second Longines today from the post office. Simple and svelte is new to me and oh so delicious. There's a working man's dirty thumbnail in here so look out! i
Vintage Longines are lovely and fine timepieces and I highly recommend one or two or three vintage pieces. 1970s Admiral 5 Star 1950s cal 19A 1940s Cal 22A 1970s Longines
