Man, putting in effort and following rules to get what you want really does suck doesn't it? Lol. ::facepalm1::

Watch out for the those pachyderms's buttocks. Seen the effects before. Not pretty. I did wonder how @dsio got access to such a large mammal, but then thought it better not to ask. :whistling:

After you have reached your 200 posts your anxiety will reduce, your stress levels will decrease and your confidence levels will increase. My advice, get posting. :whistling::thumbsup:

ps. Singing comes cheap to those who don't pay for it, if you get my drift...200 posts is a small fee

LOL....yes, you guys are absolutely correct. Putting in the time and following the rules is absolutely worth it. I run a few watch groups of my own and nothing annoys me more than when people do not follow simple rules. Glad to be here guys, thanks for having me.

Try the SEARCH function as maybe some one ( or 20 odd someone's ) in the last 12 months has asked the same questions. :whistling::whistling::whistling:

I've paid/been paid via wire and pay pal a few times, pay pal was much easier as a buyer for me, receiving via bank wire was nice. Paying via bank wire had me nervous for the week I waited on the watch to arrive.

I overall like the rules as it gives some standards and basic protection.

I guess I can understand the 200 posts in the FS section, but I wish the WTB section was lower. Does that get abused like FS forums do?

Welcome to OF. The 200 posts helps protect sellers as well as buyers. It is nice to sell to someone who has become 'known' on the forums.

Don't worry though, there are plenty of subtle ways to drop hints that you are looking for something.

It's unlikely I'll ever get to 200 posts unless there's a hidden knife or firearms section.

I read more than I'd ever post since I'm new to the watch world and not really qualified to comment on watches other than to make obvious appreciation posts.

At least now I know why there's a restriction in the sales threads for new posters.

Now I just have to find the "go to first unread post" button which will make browsing easier.

Nice, one more question.......how about the button that takes me to the first unread post inside a thread?

You may start a hidden knife thread, or maybe broaden it up to include ninja weapons Hidden in watches.

That is going to turn into a Bond discussion very quickly. But I'm totally okay with it

I'm just a regular guy with a bad watch fetish. I am trying to sell a vintage Omega Speedmaster and would like to see it go to a good home. While I understand the new requirements and they are in place to protect us all, it will make it hard for me and others to sell watches.

<sigh> Did you read the part where you can ask the Mods for permission to sell if you have a history?

Please note OF does not exist to be a sales platform.

Sounds to me like you just managed to get a shout out for your watch sale and a complaint at the same time.
