Hi guys,
Hope y'all are doing great.

I just got this omega watch and i have some doubts of every part is original or not.
The dial looks fine and the movement looks solid and genuine with omega engraved deeply on it.
I know they used this movement in some early omega pocket and trench watches.
I know as well some omegas had the serial number and the number of jewels engraved under the dial so there was no engraving on the bridge or on other visible areas.
The crown has omega logo as well.
The case back has "omega watch co and fab suisse" engraved on it too but it seems the serial number on the bottom is scratched or removed on purpose.

I need your help guys to understand more about what i have.

Thank you in advance for your time, expertise and kindness.

Best regards,
Hootan

The sloppy way that the reference number inside the caseback has been obscured is extremely suspicious. It's hard to imagine why that would be done for any legitimate reason.

Maybe some amateurish amendment after a heavy repair on the caseback

That made me suspicious as well. Maybe someone thought the serial was on a theft register or something?
