Once the dust settles I hope they start a reissue program for problematic extracts themselves - even if the guy is innocent, his signature in my opinion is now worthless and one way or another, it represents the timeframe this issue happened

I was very pissed that they didn't detail the dial on obviously authentic watches, and it turns out, all while they are counterfeiting, very ironic. Feels good on some level.

P's and other signatures on EoA's were only really decorative in my eyes, anyway. It's really the document itself that was worth "something". Before him, EoA's were signed by the previous CEO's... do you think Raynald (I can call him by his first name as I met him) or Mr. Uhrquart (I can't call him Stephen...) vetted the watches themselves before they signed the papers a few years ago? 😁

Certificates... mmmh... that's something else. I have never seen one in person btw... can someone who has one for one of their (precious - the certificate itself is like CHF800.- isn't it?) certificates chip in and let us know who signed it? Thanks!

They are not institutions.

And, I think most importantly, their writers are not journalists.

After reading the updated information and see a bit of the bigger picture......I see a mountain of iron-clad NDA's in the future, some money changing hands and then silence.

It is interesting that they're not naming/giving the titles of the other two involved.

I understand that they are related to each other, and one was a VP.

Interesting that they are not being tried in the court of public opinion... Omega must really have it in for one former employee... or be terrified of the other two.

I can’t take the credit for this. Saw it on Insta and made me chuckle…

Probably by the most senior one, who must know a thing or two about other aspects of the business that'd better be kept quiet... But yes indeed they are throwing the more public one under the bus pretty hard...

Giving hints on the dealers involved was new to me

When we visited in 2016, there were not to subtle hints being dropped around the behaviour of both of them…

So many speculations here about persons involved...

Why can't we just wait for the trial to start, then I guess the names will be out.

So you mean to stop us having fun here speculating about name?

Half of the fun on internet is enjoying pure speculation and other half is serious business...

I mean, the names are known.

Omega I’m their press release have given the title of one and from that you know his name.

Hodinkee appear to have named one if not both dealers.

The proxy bidders will likely remain unknown.

The other two Omega employees are related to each other - one was working with the museum, the other was a director of Omega on the commercial side.

Who they are seems to be an open “secret”, but given conversations with Ash about the fondness of people to threaten the forum owners with litigation, I’m not even going to put their former job titles, let alone their names.

I remain confused/curious as to why Omega would essentially name one, but not the other two - especially given the very senior role of one of the other unnamed people and his very public profile for the brand over the last decade.

I suspect that in the long run, Switzerland is going to Switzerland and as others have mentioned NDAs and cash will be the end result rather than court cases or jail time.
