Original Colour of Lume

Does anyone have a guess as to the original colours of the various lumes (radium, tritium, etc)? I can't believe they were orange/brown, like the faux patina on the modern reproductions, nor would I think they have the slight greenish tint like the modern ones.

I guess we'll never really know unless some colour photographs surface that can show this. I'm curious, not just with Omegas, but Rolex and other brands too.

Anyone know?
