Agreed, but the bridge seems to have been replaced. At least the finish looks off compared to the other parts.
Personally I believe in the idea that these watches (EP/Bulova) where made from available and discounted parts after others had collapsed. This again I assume is why there are so many variations out there.

This condition "removal of labelling on the bridge"... Is this a key part of the valuation of the watch...since it removes the history which makes the watch interesting.... Hence maybe the White Bulova might command a higher value...

And another thing I notice there is a discolouring at the lower pusher... seems that the earlier thread also commented on another Bulova... Is this a common issue with Bulova?

My Bulova has the same discolouration on the lower pusher and is otherwise almost perfect.
Just in the case of these watches the brand removal on the bridge may actually be a part of the history!

Interesting phenomenon...I wonder why...like the discoloration of rolex dials.....bulova had it on its pushers hahaa

I am convinced now...if there is only 1 bulova you need to buy.... this is the one... 😉

@ping pong patina

I bought two EP in May and in June.

image1.JPG

For the entire set (box and paper) I paid less than $1500 (no revision was necessary because recently a revision was made).
For the EP alone I paid less than $1000 but had to make a revision.
The barrel and the spring were broken (cost of parts and Revision $350 + polish from a specialist $150)

I think this price for this Bulova is very expensive.

Its seems difficult to find EP or BMS with a patina like the Heuer Bundeswehr the very nice yellowish aging

Just wondering whether is the way the watch is stored over the years? The climate? I never really understood why some turn green and some turned yellow.

You made an excellent buy then, and got a real bargain IMO at those prices. I would have snapped them up too.

DIBS on both. 😉

Yes it was a lucky punch at both😎

I wrote an ad on the Internet that I'm looking for an EP.
One answered in May.
He said he had an inherited and want to sell it.
I asked for the price and I almost fell off my chair when I got the answer.
I said I would first a look on the watch and then I buy.
We met up and I noticed that the watch had scratches and was not working properly. I pressed a bit the price and bought it.
Approximately one month later (I forgot to delete the listing) another wrote me.
I was waiting for pictures and price.
Both were also very good, that I could not say no.
I met him and bought the EP with all accessories.

Both sellers were not watch enthusiasts.

I think I and the sellers have done a good deal.
They got what they wanted and I also.

I wish I also find the other watches so I'm looking for🙄🙄

I had inserted 3 watches.

I thought at the EP I will have the least chance to find one.

The two other watches I haven't found until today.

For that I have no two EP::facepalm1::

This is my Bulova Marine Star formerly owned by Stewart Morley of Heuerville.

A much rarer 3-register Bulova Marine Master is on Ebay now.
