Hello,

I came across an omega which seems to be part of the dirty dozen. I've been searching on the forum in order to check its authenticity and in my opinion the dial seems original. The case is in great shape too. But I find it weird that there is no engraving on the caseback.

What do you think ?

I'll ask the seller to send more pics but is it abnormal not to have engravings on the visible part of the caseback?

The case back looks like it might have been turned on a lathe to me, part of the military markings should be on the inner case back. Is the sub dial sunken? It's difficult to be sure from the pic. I would say it looks re-lumed too.

Dodgy I think. Mine shows you what an unrestored dial looks like. Note especially that subdial. Also that the crown should be pretty chunky.

Ah yes, it lacks the outer ring on the sub dial. Is it at 100%, a sign of a redial ? The rest of it (omega logo, numbers,..) seems pretty accurate though.

So is it possible that there is multiple variations of the dial provided by omega and which are genuine ? Like the absence of a contour on the subdial?

Here again on Ebay : https://watchcharts.com/listing/388609
And also here : https://www.bukowskis.com/en/lots/1195931-omega-w-w-w-dirty-dozen-wristwatch-35-mm
And here : https://www.hashtagwatchco.com/prod...t2-military-dirty-dozen-wwii-black-wristwatch

I have also noticed that all the models which have the same subdial as mine also share a resemblance at the "SWISS MADE" writing : the S is far from the rest of the word WISS.
