    Hi,
I was about to buy a nice looking Omega Geneve DayDate watch...
I talked to the seller and he sent me many pictures and once he got it back from his watchmaker i will be able to buy it.
Today he told me he got the watch back and everything, but he also told me he can only sell the watch without the strap because he realized it got a vintage Speedmaster Strap on it...
Is that realistic and is the strap really a speedmaster strap?
Is 500€ a realistic price for this watch (without Strap)?
Do you know where I can get a similar strap?

    Thank you,
    Paul Legler
(sorry for my bad english, im trying my best)

If the end links are correct, and they sure look like it, and the opening in the end link fits snugly to the bracelet, then you're good. It might even be correct!

The 1171, which it appears you have, was used on other watches as well.

More likely to be an 1125 on that watch than an 1171.

You're going to really struggle (or be exceptionally lucky) to find an 1171 or even a 1125 (generally slightly cheaper) for that.

It’s certainly not a 20mm 1171. It may be a 19mm 1125 but it may also be an 18mm bracelet of some kind since I am pretty sure that is the lug width of the watch shown. That wasn’t standard on any Speedy AFAIK.

Whatever the bracelet is the end-links do not look correct nor do they look like they are Omega.

Notice the difference in the width of the center link of the bracelet and the opening width of the end-links.

A shot of the hinge markings would help, or not.
