I disagree! I think in this very nice condition it is a good buy. The case is in very good (nice and crisp) condition especially for 18K gold. Dial looks to be in quite nice as well. If I didn’t already have one and saw this ad I’d be very interested myself. This watch might be a few hundred above the average price but in it’s condition is worth it, in my opinion. Above average condition watches command above average prices and this is a very nice watch...only thing I’d suggest is a service if you get it.

My case is no where near as nice...

These are nice subtle gold watches that can be worn for any occasion, I love mine and wear it often!

If the OP doesn't mind, because I am curious about most things Zenith , about when was it manufactured?
    Is 146D the movement?
How does the movement in this watch rate when stacked against it's peers from it's time frame?
    Thanks.

Yes, the 146D is the movement. It is a movement derived from Martel movements, Zenith purchased Martel in 1958. The 146 series of movements were high quality movements and rate favorably against its competitors. Not sure about OPs watch but mine dates to ~ 1968.

Edit: one more small detail...my watch actually has the 146DP movement, some small differences including a flat coil and shock proofing.

I agree with @Hijak but note that the top left lug seems to be bent a bit.
Maybe that is a good reason to haggle a bit.

Thank you for this info Hijak. I agree with everything including service. The movement in the picture looks to be rough in some spots, so trying to ask for a better picture of movement.

Better picture of movement would be a good thing although it looks all there, just needs a cleaning. When I bought mine it had a wire replacing a lever spring, disappointing that I missed it but with the help of fellow OF member I located correct part and now all is well!:)

Also saw this one on C24. Seems to be a 146 but with three registers vs. two. The rice tag is much higher, so not sure if this is just more sought after movement? https://www.chrono24.com/zenith/tri...kt-gold-37-mm-manual-cal-146h--id12708203.htm Screen Shot 2019-11-07 at 3.57.38 PM.png Screen Shot 2019-11-07 at 3.57.54 PM.png Screen Shot 2019-11-07 at 3.58.14 PM.png

That is the 146H/P movement (three sub dials). I wouldn’t say it’s more sought after, when I was looking for mine I was looking specifically for the 146DP (two sub dials).

Thanks. Do you know why the price tag is so much higher on this one? Between the two do they seem on pr in terms of condition and value?

37mm vs 35mm and round pushers vs square pushers
You don't find a 37mm watch with round pushers in that condition very often.

In terms of the market does it warrant the price difference?

A similar watch in SS is offered here for more:

I once was in the market for the smaller ones. These could be seen quite often but many of them had flaws. So I finally bought this one:

Since then, I haven't looked anymore and didn't follow the prices, although I find these watches to be very attractive.
As I said, the big ones are not that often for sale as the smaller versions are. So it is difficult to say. I think it depends on what you are willing to pay and what size you prefer. Whatsoever, in any case I would try to haggle.

Again, thank you for your feedback, much appreciated. One last questions. On the below watch is the the original crown? From all of these that I have seen they appear to have a logo and this does not. Everything else appears to be original and in good shape. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Zenith-Cronografo-Tricompax-Oro-18-K-Gold-Anno-60-Uomo-37-Mm/323821474047 Screen Shot 2019-11-07 at 8.56.56 PM.png

Crown is a replacement. Original would have logo.

The case is gold plated which holds the value down. I feel a lack of love among collectors for plated watches.

All these watches are beatiful but be careful about the dial, a lot of 146 were reprinted
