Any Thoughts On this Zenith?

Hi there OF folks!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

I wanted to ask any Zenith Masters about their thoughts on this piece.

Does it look fairly authentic or does it look like potentially a redial?

This would be my first Zenith so I'm not super sure what to look for but I haven't seen the hour in minute hands on other references that are similar so I'm not sure if they are original?

Also When it comes to pricing what should something like this go for?

Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Warmly,
Sam

I am by no means a zenith master have only just bought my first vintage zenith and it is a diver so nothing like yours. The one you show is pretty but two things would concern me if I was you: 1) the Lume on the hands seems a little jarring and incongruous with any other elements of the watch. No idea if they are correct or not but I would def research the heck out of it to make sure. 2) zenith is most famous for their chronographs and el primero movement so as a first foray into zenith I would probably look for an el primero movement. I always like to get the most famous or typical examples when buying a brand that is new to me. Good luck! Nice watch!

As suggested above. The hands have been relumed. I would politely disagree with the El Primero comment. Zenith is historically known for their many awards in the chronometer competition in Neuchatel. Look into a cal 133.8 or 71. Beautiful bumper automatics from the 50s

I don't see any mention of reluming anywhere. And I suppose it is a matter of opinion but to me zeniths most famous/signature achievement is the el primero (the first automatic chronograph movement for those who might not know although can't imagine there are many who don't lol) in 1969. It seems in my opinion to be the logical place to make your first foray into zenith. But to each their own. I will check out their earlier calibers as you see great though. Always eager to learn more about the legendary brands.

Thanks! I'll look more into the 50s bumpers too!
