Omega brochure has just arrived after ordering January 2020. I wanted the new print as there was no Ploprof in previous version. Lo & behold, no mention of Ploprof in latest version either! Why would Omega not include this standard production piece in their catalogue? I would be interested in your opinions Omega(W)ristas.
It's not front page material on their website either, they kind of burry it hoping no one finds it... I don't see them releasing a newer version of it anytime soon (or ever) so I guess it's not worth their marketing efforts.
Distinctive looking watch, for sure. https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watches/seamaster/heritage-models/ploprof-1200m/product .
The style may not be for everyone's taste, but it is impressive that it is rated for a depth of 1200 meters. Of course, that is about 1190 meters more than I'll ever use. . .
When I first saw mine in person I thought it was pretty ugly, the more I learned about it and the more I understood it's value and how it was actually used by my dad for what it was made to do the more I "fell in love" with it. Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's pretty but definitely not ugly anymore.
I love it, but not enough to pay 10k for one. If I win the lottery it's hitting the top of my to buy list.
I absolutely adore mine, it’s different to all the normal boring sh1t on the market & wears fantastically well. I can’t understand why, with the history of the watch, the fact that they still make it & charge £9700+ for it, why it doesn’t warrant a single page in their brochure. If they are not interested & no one is interested, it is simple, drop it! Jeeper
