Prices also up in Canada. Seamaster Pro 300 an extra 300 clams from 6200.00 >>> 6500.00, while the AT 41 goes from 6700.00 >>> 7200.00. Not huge as a percentage but starting to push some of the watches towards the next price band up. The Speedy Pro stays unchanged at 6200.00 for now.

Which makes me think perhaps grey market or sellers on this forum might be the way to go? Out of interest, could anybody recommend reputable sellers in the UK? Particularly for Speedy ranges. Most sellers I’ve found so far are US based. Thank you.

I don't know of any UK based forum sellers, but I do know WatchbuyersUK are based in the UK and sell Omega with full 5 year warranties and at a great price.

Only issue is the wait time, you could be waiting a month for them to source the Omega from the factory.

Thanks @Slowpoker, I’ll have a look into it. Not a lot to go on this side of the pond apart from maybe trying to negotiate a discount from an AD.

I totally understand since I'm in the same position. Just remember that while Watchbuyers have significantly discounted timepieces, you can still wiggle a little more out of them if you ask nicely.

Make the most of it; after Brexit they'll go up by a zillion percent, as will everything else from milk to motor vehicles. Don't @ me.

I feel you. Seems like a no-brainer then if they’re legit. A FOIS for under £3000, makes me wonder a bit though.

They're legit for sure, looking at reviews on eBay and online I've not found anything negative and they seem to answer any and all questions I shoot at them.

Personally though I would use a credit card just in case for the reassurance.

They must’ve been updating the website when you were looking

The FOIS is still saying no longer available, screenshot taken at 19:30 1st Oct

So it looks like they updated the price presumably for the Dealers that still have stock?

Probably, I presume that Omega are no longer making the watch so stock left in the dealers is to be sold off and then those that want the watch will have to search hard for NOS watches.

There's plenty FOIS going around, several well under £3K.

Sorry if I have given the impression that I want one, I don't. My post was more about the fact that it appears to have been discontinued and I hadn't seen anything about it on here or via other watch forums I follow, to be honest I was a bit shocked as I thought that it was a permanent fixture in the Omega stable, but I suppose all things have to come to an end at some point.

No worries, but I agree that it does for now at least look to be unavailable.

I don't understand the price rises on omega. It was raised in May and again now. Definitely won't be buying brand new from AD in future

I think it's to do with the £ against the rest of the world market

didn't the price of Moonwatch go up in Q1, then in May and now 3rd time in 1 year?

The price is to make the difference between the new SS speedmaster with a 3861 movement not too great. The sapphire sandwich being £4,700 and 005 being £4,000 the new model will probably retail for £5,500 or so thus not much of a difference. Just my opinion.

Stupid strategy to hike prices this regularly, there's already been a few % price hike a year ago.

Grey market will always indicate a truer market price and more people will flock away from ADs if they keep at this. Veblen good theory only works if you have the brand clout and/or total control of the supply chain. Omega doesn't have enough of the former and has none of the latter.
