·Nope, a regular 16710.
Own several Omega's including an 45.5 SMPO Chronograph. Thought I wanted a Sub until I saw a coworker wearing a 16800 and yeah it looked smaller than I expected. I also held it and it didn't quite feel as "substantial" as I thought it might. My SMPO always puts a smile on my face. Probably will add a 42mm version for everyday wear sooner rather than later.
How can you say you are "all in" with only 8 pieces. Just kidding. Nice collection.
I guess I saved myself some money because I would never buy a Rolex.
I like both brands and have had many of both. After have a few non-ceramic Date Submariners, a few years ago, I replaced my matte dial Sub 16800 with a Seamaster 300 2254.50 which I loved for about 2 years. Then I realized that although the Seamaster is a far superior piece in most respects on paper, somehow, the Sub just a certain romance to it and it was time to switch back. Being a guy that keeps his collection VERY small, I sold the Seamaster and another and am awaiting my 4th Submariner....This time it's a pre-ceramic no-date and I hope this one is for good!
I'm also awaiting the arrival of my 2017 Railmaster LE to complete the pair collection. It'll be weird not having a date function....at all!
I have three Omegas (two modern - SM300 MC and SM 300M Diver - and one vintage Constellation), as well as a modern Submariner. I have never once received any comments on the Rolex, either positive or negative. My Omegas, however, are a different story; they attract attention and compliments on a regular basis. I suppose it may be because the design of the Submariner is so widely imitated that it's tough to tell from a distance whether it's a Rolex or a Steinhart or whatever else it may be. The Omega designs, on the other hand, are a bit more distinctive.
Oddly, it makes me a bit more confident in anonymity when I'm wearing the Sub.
