CB lug tips are flatter, while HF's is pointed. Flatter tip could be to prevent piercing through or damage the suit.

What kind of suit are you referring to?

David, original lume, yes?
I think it had been touched up or stabilised at some point as the lume didn't quite glow uniformly.

Bringing back this thread because I had an interesting observation regarding the A1 24 teeth crown vs. B2 32 teeth crown debate as original to the 105.012-66. Schmitt's Apollo 17 watch from the Smithsonian shows a 32 teeth crown and a few examples in this sharing thread also shows a 32 teeth crown by OF posters.

However, another similarity that these watches have is that they also have "Wide Space T dials" which I assume is a later 105.012 dial (closer to the 145.012 dials), and possible made later 4th quarter 1997. This could provide some proof that the 32 teeth crowns were used during this transition.

My 105.012 HF with Wide Space T dial, Oct 1997 production, B2 32 teeth crown.

Sun is out, and the weather is lovely!
So why not a HF bump!
😀
Have a lovely weekend!

My latest addition to the Speedmaster collection is this 105.012-66 HF in all original condition, up to the first generation hesalite with the flat foot Omega logo. It has the close T dial and 1506/16 bracelet with hardly any stretch. I bought it through Watchfid (owned by the writers of Moonwatch Only), I can highly recommend them, Anthony was amazing.

Anyway, here are some pics. Funny to see the same gradient discoloration of the minute hand as yours @hansaboy.

Did you guess right of did you follow the Watchfid ad? 😀

Mine was produced on the 1st of September 1967 and delivered to Italy.
