Another of my SHOM. Most comfortable bracelet I've ever had on my wrist.

Love this one, as I received my Chronostop in 1967 as high school grad gift!

Seeing this thread bumped makes me realise I never did update this, went ahead and bought one for my Great White in the end and that's where it stays, perfect match IMO at least and is the most comfortable bracelet I've ever worn. I fully brushed mine, love it!

@Tet, I was reading through the whole thread to see if anyone brushed their mesh. Have one but find the polished surface to “bling” for my taste. Did you brush it yourself or did you have a watchmaker do it for you?

I'm pretty sure he got his in 1969. Still runs great and is in fantastic condition.

I purchased a 24mm OEM mesh band years ago because for some reason I thought it might look good on a Railmaster XXL (it was OK). I thought the same however with the polished vs satin finish. I ended up satin finishing mine with some 3M scratch pads. Easy enough to do if you do it slowly and can keep straight lines. A few years back I upgraded to a Foredom bench grinder/polisher which makes those jobs much easier.

I'll do some digging in my old pics and see if I can find some examples of how it turned out. I remember it looking pretty good.

My wife works with jewellery so I grabbed her handheld polishing tool with a brush type mop fitted. Much more satisfying than any other method as properly gets into all the gaps. As mentioned above though there are other options such as scotchbrite pads.

Any info on an 18mm OEM mesh?!

I'm pretty sure you'd need to go vintage for an Omega one of those, and they'd be closer to Milanese than Shark Mesh.

I have the Shark mesh on the 2 Omegas above but am waiting the arrival of an 18mm Milanese.
