I think it's the same SL as at my replacement dial of the 166.0324 isn't it? How long does it glow?

Yes, same lume. My 2254.50 glows like a torch for about 1 hour then settles down to a pretty good faint glow for most of the night.

Agree that everyone should have one. Here are a few pictures of mine. I love it. It's so thin and comfy to wear. The best looking SMP IMO. The bezel is pretty close to useless though..

Have contact to the seller know and he is located not so far from me. He invited me to check the watch in natural. What should be the keypoints? Does all 2254 have a serial number at the case and the same one the movement?

Here again one of the fotos i've got:

I keep thinking I want a 2531 - until I see nice photographs of a 2254. Damn you! 😀

You can’t go wrong with a 2254! Just make sure the edges on the bezel are still sharp and the case not soft. Serial numbers should be the same on the underside of the case, movement and of course the cards (warranty and chronometer certification). Good luck on your purchase/hunt. I paid around 2k € for mine (full set, mint) two years ago and don’t regret one cent of it.

I think higher powers really want me to have a 2254.50.

The one I grabbed on eBay for cheap was, indeed, too good to be true - received an email from eBay pulling the item (meaning it a fraudster - full refund coming either way as I paid using PayPal/Amex).

Same day, one popped up on Craigslist, 20 minutes away, for a very competitive price. Bit of negotiation, took a chance, showed up and it turned out to be near mint example.

Such a great watch on the wrist. Love the slimness, the Speedy-style bracelet is dramatically better than the Bond-style bracelet imo. Lume is best I’ve seen. Hard to beat for the price....

Montego Bay style

Nice watch 👍 but now I must say... in my simplistic view of the world, there are some things that were not meant to match, sort of like vanilla ice cream topped with cheap ketchup 😁

Nice to read things worked out for you.

I agree the Speedmaster style bracelet is one of the most comfortable to wear and a great pairing for the watch.

There was an interesting comparative review written a while ago. I'm not sure if you have seen it but it's a good read.

Good read alright, no worries.
I also read the review of the PO 2500 vs the Seadweller. Was a bit disappointed he used the 45mm PO for comparison and then criticised the size and weight of it. The 42mm would have been a better comparison for size as the 16600 is 40mm.

..The bezel is pretty close to useless though..

we could say it has the same utility as all other bezels on other watch models .. or are you saying there's some unique "uselessness" on the 2254's bezel?
