This style of link has been around for a long time. If you were to take a look at the underside of the links on both sides of the buckle, near the centre of the last few links, you might find a screw than can be removed, allowing you to slide one link to the side, to separate the two links. If this bracelet is made like that, removing the screw from an adjacent link allows you to separate the link for removal. Put the shortened bracelet back together, and re-insert the central screw. I have seen this style of bracelet designed that way. Hopefully it works for you.

So i dont get ripped off. Because now thanks to you guys i got really solid information and im learning so much. But dont know what the normal service costs can be.

If you go to the Omega website and select your country and then Customer Service you should find the service costs. That will give you a baseline of what to expect from the most expensive option (Ω) downwards.

Should Watch City not be suitable there are three or four other Omega shops within walking distance.

Thank you, i live in rotterdam in the netherland i believe watch city is only in amsterdam.

Uh Oh, sorry, I saw a C&S shop in Amsterdam when I was there on holiday and spending time looking at watches.

I had a look on the internet and there's an Omega service centre in Gouda.

You could call in when you go to buy your cheese. 😁

You can set the minute by pulling the crown out to the last click. Once at this position, turn of the crown will move both the hour & minute hands just like a normal watch. The first click position is to adjust the hour hand, it jumps forward or backward in one hour increment.

I too have never seen a 1342 which does this, certainly mine doesn't.

Thank you all, today i got to schaap/citroen and they made my band smaller for free, what a great kind of service! But now i asked for a service but that will cost me 510 euros because they need to ship it to them. Is service always that price?

Seems about right if "them" is Omega in Switzerland. But if you find an independent watchmaker locally that can take care of your watch, it will probably be less expensive
