I am waiting on one as well.

Just curious, has anyone seen any shots of these models on the alternate straps? I have the small seconds ordered and I am intrigued to see it on the blue or nato straps.

So, I'd ordered the small-seconds model, lost all patience, cancelled my order, inevitably regretted my cancellation, got over it, and then stumbled on a single unit of the center seconds available tonight on the Omega e-shop. I'll believe it when it's in my hands (or at least shipped). I've come to like the center-seconds model just as much, maybe more on the right day. By the way, having just purchased a different piece, this is a wholly irresponsible purchase, but I don't think any of you could relate to that...

Looks strong on the blue

Hard to see, lighting wasn’t great. I just put the blue strap on top too. But maybe give you an idea?

I personally prefer the brown. Has a lovely grain to it.

I wish I could get the one with a small seconds at 6.
I doubt that any boutiques around my area have even one piece left.
The magnetic thingy in a box pretty wicked!

This is perfect. Thanks for the visual. It’s such a beautiful watch. I am looking forward to getting the call.

Insanely enough, my order for the center-seconds model just shipped from Omega and I should have it no later than Tuesday - pix to follow.

Just unbelievable that it popped up as available out of nowhere (and again became out of stock/unavailable after my order). I guess it pays to haunt the website, because trying to get this through OBs/ADs might be futile at this point.

I am very glad for your luck, but as one of the folks who pre-ordered (and paid in full!) a year ago and has yet to hear re: a delivery date, this one hurts...

Heh, again, very happy for you, just very frustrated with Omega! You should not feel badly at all!

Oh, I really do know that - thanks! But I really do feel for you and everyone in that situation. I'll report back when it's in my hands next week.

Long time lurker, first time poster here. Couldn't hold my excitement back when I got an email this morning from the Omega Boutique in NJ stating that my 1948 small seconds will be here end of next week! It's been a loooong wait, almost exactly a year to the day that I put my deposit down. Hold onto your orders guys, it will be worth the wait.

Does this mean they are finally showing up in the US?

Looks like it, very slowly. I wonder if the tardiness of this release will give it a sort of unicorn status down the line. Either way, it was love at first sight for me when I saw the small seconds model last year, and it's a keeper for sure.

I've been inquiring about the status of the release since the original October 2018 timeframe. The boutique did divulge to me through some watercooler chatter that the delay was due to the case maker not meeting Omega's standards in the initial production run. They had to redo the entire production at the risk of disappointing the customers. It makes me respect Omega for caring about the fans. Back in January, they (Omega corporate, not the boutique) sent a complementary leather watch roll in the mail, along with an apology letter for the delay. That was a nice touch as well. They care about doing this release right, and I think the few people around the world who will have this watch in the months and years to follow will be very happy.

Here's a picture of the watch roll, along with the letter (ignore the gaffe about the LE Hodinkee Speedmaster instead of the 1948 Small Seconds, I confirmed with the boutique that this was a printing mistake).

I received confirmation from my OB that mine + one other is arriving at their location this week, so they are starting to trickle into the US. I will also note that I am still waiting for my apology note and watch roll . Did anyone else get a note?
